Chassis.
XB2’26 features two all-new 2.5mm chassis plates with each one optimized for different track conditions.
XB2C with a mid-length 2.5mm chassis provides the stability needed in higher traction conditions to maximize cornering speeds & to reduce lap times.
XB2D with short 2.5mm chassis maximizes rear traction on lower traction dirt tracks, improving forward acceleration & stability to produce consistent and fast results on even the most irregular surfaces.
Both chassis plates are made from high quality 2.5mm Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum to maximize stability and drivability while also improving durability and lowering the center of gravity.
To improve upon the vehicle dynamics of the previous 2.0mm chassis and improve traction, each new chassis plate is additionally milled in specific locations to enhance chassis flex and fine tune the vehicle’s responsiveness.

Suspension Holders.
The improved suspension holder design maximizes durability. Each respective kit features optimized geometry out of the box, ready to hit the track.
The XB2C comes with a 1-degree D-block while the XB2D includes the 3-degree D-block. Thus, the Carpet kit features less toe-in, to free up the rear on high grip tracks. The Dirt kit has more toe-in, to generate more rear traction on a loose surface. The new blocks also allow for a wider track width range adjustment for both kit versions.
The aluminum suspension holders feature Integrated Suspension Settings (I.S.S.™) for quick & easy suspension geometry set-up.
Machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum and black coated.

Rear Roll Center Holder.
New aluminum Rear Roll Center Holder is included in each kit. Its centering milled area for the anti-roll bar collar eliminates play and improves the precision of the anti-roll bar movement.
The new holder also adds an extra middle pivot ball mounting position for additional roll center tuning.
The aluminum holder increases strength & reliability over the previous composite part.

Shock Towers.
The rear 6 dot shock tower in the XB2C improves stability and prevents the rear suspension from collapsing during high speed cornering.
Shock towers feature low but responsive geometry for both front and rear suspension assemblies. Lowering the shocks’ upper mounting point increases stability and cornering speed and give a more precise feeling when changing direction. As a response to the general increase in car speeds on carpet and track grip levels increasing, the lowered shock locations increase the stability and improve the overall handling of the car.
Both front & rear shock towers complement the big bore shocks and suspension geometry of the XB2.
Front & rear shock towers are machined from premium-grade carbon fiber that is lightweight & strong, with multiple shock adjustment positions.

Big Bore Shocks.
The shock absorbers feature a new 1mm shorter shock cap. The shorter shock cap gives greater up travel during compression of the suspension that is needed to maximize suspension performance in certain conditions and setups.
The big bore 13.2mm shock bodies and shock shafts have been shortened to match the lower shock towers and achieve the desired geometry while maintaining proper suspension travel.
The big bore shocks improve overall handling, jump landings, and bump absorption. The X-rings provide smooth operation & superior dust resistance. Two different piston thicknesses are included in the kit for tuning along with blank pistons for additional tuning possibilities.
The big bore shocks improve landings and provide better control over surface unevenness and bumps to improve traction.
There are two different thickness pistons (2.0 and 2.5mm) included in the kit in pre-drilled and blank alternatives.
The super-efficient pre-oiled X-rings ensure smooth operation and prevent dust inside the shock assembly.
The shock absorbers are universal for both Dirt and Carpet editions.

Shock Adjustments.
The XB2C features a -6mm lower shock spring collar to reach lower ride height settings needed on smooth high traction surfaces.
The spring collars and lower ball joints are available in various sizes to allow easy adjustment of ride height and droop.
The spring collars are available in 4 different heights: 0mm, -2mm, -4mm, and -6mm. This allows for a wider range of ride height adjustments without requiring a different spring length. Using a lower collar will lower the minimum ride height for a given spring length.
The ball joints are available in 3 different lengths: 0mm, +2mm and +4mm. This allows for a convenient droop adjustment. Using a longer ball joint will increase the overall shock length and will increase the suspension droop at full extension.

Heavy Duty Titanium Turnbuckles
The XB2 now features ultra-lightweight & strong titanium turnbuckles all made in-house in Europe. The titanium turnbuckles enhance performance in all conditions.
The turnbuckles are very durable thanks to their heavy-duty design and the premium titanium materials.
The 3.5mm heavy duty turnbuckles together with the 5.4mm heavy duty ball joints create super strong and reliable steering & camber links. The composite ball joint design reduces bind for smooth suspension and steering movement.
Increasing the ball joint size from 4.9mm to 5.4mm created smoother and more reliable suspension linkages. There are two different ball cup shapes used in the XB2; one straight and one curved for improved clearance around the front wheel. Each ball joint is slightly longer compared to the 4.9mm counterpart so the new 3.5mm Ti turnbuckles thread deeper in the ball cup to improve reliability and prevent deformation of the ball cup at the weakest point at the end of the turnbuckle threads.
The 5.4mm ball ends’ height was increased by 1.0mm to improve the range of motion of the joint. The complete 5.4mm assembly is smoother, more reliable and less likely to pop off.

Titanium Shock Mounts.
Ultra-light & strong titanium rear shock mounts are now included as standard in the kit to reduce the weight.

Shock Springs.
4 dot front & rear springs are now included in the XB2C to improve box-stock performance on most carpet tracks. The stiffer spring combination works together with the new shock geometry to provide more consistent handling on carpet and other very high traction conditions.
The full range of conical springs are compatible with Big Bore but also Shorter Big Bore shocks.
The XB2C includes 4 dot front and rear springs; the XB2D includes 1 dot springs for both front and rear.
The XB2 springs, like all other XRAY springs, are manually measured, selected, and matched into pairs to guarantee precisely equal length and damping characteristics.
Each spring is laser-engraved with marks to clearly indicate its firmness.

Wings.
To further improve consistency on lower grip dirt tracks, a all-new wider rear wing is included in the XB2D kit. The wider rear wing provides more overall down force, increases traction and enhances rear stability.
The rear wing generates exceptional traction and jump stability while offering a long lifespan. The wing features pre-marked mounting holes for easy installation.
A rear wing is included in both Carpet & Dirt editions. The “Lush” rear wing has high levels of downforce & low drag to improve overall performance. The wing generates high levels of traction but maintains easy jumping characteristics. The wing has pre-marked mounting holes and a design that significantly increases lifespan.
Made from strong Lexan™ material, the wing is supported on the wing mounts by extended flat shims to better support and extend the life of the wing. Lush Thick wing is available as option for even better toughness.
The front and rear wings are included in both XB2 versions.
The front Wide Ribbed wing works perfectly with the new body to increase front down force, while the rear wing generates maximum traction and provides jump stability.
Both front & rear wings feature pre-marked mounting holes for easy installation.

Wheel Hubs.
The XB2C comes with wider offset wheel hubs – rear 5 slot & front 2 slot, for a more consistent handling on all carpet conditions.
Ultra-lightweight 12mm wheel hex drive hubs are CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 black-coated aluminum. These ultra-true hex hubs have a clamping design which ensures ultra- solid mounting of the wheel on the hub.
The rear alu hex hubs are specially machined to reduce rotating weight while guaranteeing wobble-free wheel mounting.
To adjust track-width, optional offset wheel hex drive hubs are available.

Gear Differential.
Lighter diff outdrives reduce rotational mass, improving acceleration, braking, and drivetrain efficiency.
The Carpet Edition’s gear diff unified drive shaft lengths for ball and gear differentials, requiring no additional parts to swap between differential types. The revised external diff parts made the reduced width possible. Steel gears are included for maximum durability.
The gear diff comes with steel satellite gears for improved efficiency and increased lifespan.
The gear differential is suggested for medium to high traction conditions as it increases on-power steering and is beneficial on all carpet tracks.

Ball Differential.
The XB2D ball differential offers great performance, durability, and easy maintenance. HUDY Super Diff Grease included in the XB2D for the most consistent smooth & longest-lasting ball differential assembly.
The externally adjustable ball differential outdrives are machined from HUDY Spring Steel™ and additionally hardened for extra durability and a longer lifespan. A high-quality carbide thrust bearing and carbide balls are included for ultra-smooth operation. The outdrive adapters are designed for use with 2.5mm pin drive shafts.
The ball differential is suggested for all types of dirt tracks and for bumpy Astro tracks and is included in the XB2D only.

Some information shown below may include details from previous kits, and it may vary slightly from current kit specifications.

Flat Chassis Brace.
The bottom aluminum Flat Chassis Brace is completely new and XRAY’s innovative concept in the off-road category to adjust flex to match the traction levels of the track. This brace is mounted directly onto the chassis and is connected with the rear gearbox and RF suspension holder.
The Flat Chassis Brace is significantly lower, lighter, and allows for extremely simple yet powerful flex adjustments.
The flex of the brace is adjustable by adding or removing screws to create the perfect flex characteristics for any conditions.
Two types of Flat Chassis Braces are available, each one specifically for either the 5 or 3 gear transmissions.

Side Braces.
Redesigned longer side braces match the new chassis design. The longer braces extend the longitudinal chassis flex control to improve consistency on the track.
The left side brace also allows for a fan to be mounted directly to the brace for enhanced motor cooling.
The side braces support the one-piece chassis design and connect with the front end. The flex of the side braces was optimized to improve front stability & rear traction. The braces feature several mounting holes for the battery holders to provide sufficient range of battery position choices.
The side braces are available in two different hardness alternatives. Both Dirt and Carpet edition comes with medium stiffness and optional Graphite braces are suggested for extra high traction conditions.
The tough composite side braces also work great for using double-sided Velcro™ tape to mount the body to the chassis and seal against dirt.

Universal Gearbox Concept.
XRAY presents a unique Universal Gearbox platform design that allows using either the updated 3 gear 3G Gearbox or the new optional 5 gear 5G Gearbox without changing the chassis plate of the Carpet or Dirt version of the XB2.

3G Gearbox.
Updated 3G Gearbox integrates with the lower Flat Chassis Brace. The weight bias of the 3G transmission creates a balance between steering and stability that is well suited for a wide variety of track conditions on dirt, clay, turf or carpet.
The 3G Gearbox is included in both XB2C and XB2D, with the universal design allowing easy & fast changes between 3G and optional 5G without changing the chassis.
Super-narrow, ultra-low CG gearboxes (LCG) features quick & easy diff access. The narrower design of the gearbox reduces weight and moves all parts closer to the chassis centerline.

Slipper Clutch.
Both Carpet and Dirt versions come with unique 2-pad slipper assemblies that share the same top shaft, slipper pads and spring nut.
The XB2C includes the ventilated slipper plates to provide additional cooling to dissipate the excess heat created on carpet.
The XB2D includes solid slipper plates with larger engagement area for smoother slippage to help generate more traction.
Carpet tracks are typically very high traction, and the minimal wheel spin places higher stress on the slipper components and benefits from the additional cooling from the ventilated slipper plates to maintain consistent performance throughout a run.
Dirt and clay tracks are usually lower traction with more wheel spin compared to carpet racing, and do not generate the same heat in the slipper clutch. The solid slipper plates with larger engagement area for smoother slippage help to generate more traction.
The slipper pads are made from ultra-efficient SLS material with very-high slip efficiency, allowing very precise slip adjustment.
All slipper plates are machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 and additionally hardened before a final black surface treatment. The plates have a machined relief which decreases the friction surface to assist with clutch slip adjustment. With this plate design, pressure is focused on the circumference of the clutch pads for increased efficiency.

Motor Mount.
Redesigned and unified motor mount for 3G Gearbox takes advantage of the additional chassis clearance and lowers the motor position for lower CG.
The super lightweight motor mounts are machined from Swiss 7075 T6.
The molded composite gear protector prevents contact between the spur gear and the body. Moulded from strong, lightweight material, the cover helps to protect the body shell and spur gear, and it allows the body to be mounted lower without interference.

Front Suspension Arms.
The new arm has more clearance for the C-hub that expands the range of wheelbase adjustments.
The shock mounting location uses an eccentric pivot ball to move the lower shock mount forward or backward, creating different shock angles that affect traction and corner speed.
The arm also features a mounting location for the front anti-roll bar.
These new arms are available in three different hardness alternatives: Medium, Hard and Graphite; each suitable for particular track conditions.

Rear Suspension Arms.
Updated rear suspension arms add a new inside shock mounting position for additional geometry choices, improving the XB2’s ability to adapt to any track conditions.
The XB2C includes arms of the stiffest Graphite composite material to make the car more precise and consistent in higher traction conditions.
The XB2D includes arms of Hard composite material that is more flexible than Graphite, generating more rear-end grip in lower traction conditions.
The rear suspension arms are available in three hardness alternatives: Medium, Hard and Graphite; each suitable for particular track conditions.

Shock Pistons.
The piston choices were chosen for ideal fit and dampening in the bore shock bodies. The 2-hole pistons (1.6 and 1.8mm) are included in 2.0mm or 2.5mm thickness alternatives. In addition, two sets of blank pistons in both thickness alternatives are included for individual custom modification. All pistons are made from Delrin and are molded using ultra-high precision moulds.

Shock Mounting Adapter.
XRAY’s unique lower shock mounting adapters offer two mounting alternatives to create different stability characteristics while lowering the overall shock placement and CG. The inner shock mounting position increases reactivity of the car, while the outer position increases stability. The Shock Mounting Adapters are suggested for higher traction conditions and as such are included in XB2C only.

Active Differential.
The unique XRAY Active Differential is a high-performance, adjustable gear differential for XB2 … vastly improving the buggy’s speed and handling characteristics. The special design of the internal components using different angled segments allows the diff gears to engage on-power to increase the forward traction, making it faster and easier to drive.

Steering Blocks.
The included steering blocks are moulded from XRAY’s stiffest Graphite composite mixture that increases steering response. The carbon 2-dots steering block extensions provide balanced steering & feel in all conditions.
Both Carpet and Dirt editions include the 2-dots steering block extensions that are well suited for all track conditions. These extensions create a more linear steering that improves control in all conditions.
There are four different steering blocks available – medium (option), hard (option), graphite (included) and aluminum (option) – which can be used to fine tune steering response for various track conditions.

Caster Blocks.
Caster blocks are moulded from XRAY’s stiffest Graphite composite mixture which helps to increase steering response. Different caster block hardness choices are available to fine tune the set-up for all different track conditions.
The caster blocks are very lightweight, yet their construction makes them very stiff & rigid. The caster can be adjusted with values 0°, 2.5° or 5° by using included caster bushings.
There are four different caster blocks available – medium (option), hard (option), graphite (included) and aluminum (option), each one suitable for different track conditions.

Rear Uprights.
Rear Uprights are moulded from XRAY’s stiffest Graphite composite mixture to enhance performance in typical medium to high traction conditions found at most tracks. The rear lowered roll center position ensures stability and reduces collapse of the suspension in high-speed corners.
Rear uprights feature aluminum roll center mounts with multiple upper roll center positions.
The upper roll center is adjusted at the camber linkage via shims (up/down & in/out), while the lower roll center is adjustable via eccentric inserts for 9 different positions (up/down & in/out).
The multi-function uprights have the upper roll center position in the middle of the axis of the driveshaft joint to help generate more traction and increase stability.
There are four different uprights available: medium (optional) hard (optional), graphite (included), and aluminum (optional), each suitable for particular track conditions.

Heavy Duty Turnbuckles.
The ball joints increased to 5.4mm instead of the previous 4.9mm. There are two different ball joint shapes: one straight and one curved for improved clearance around the front spring and wheel. The ball joints are slightly longer so the turnbuckle thread deeper in the ball joint to improve reliability and prevent deformation of the plastic at the weakest point at the end of the turnbuckle thread
The steel turnbuckles increased from 3.0mm to 3.5mm to increase durability
The 5.4mm ball ends’ height was increased by 1.0mm to improve the range of motion of the joint. The complete 5.4mm assembly is smoother and more reliable.

Anti-Roll Bars.
Front & rear anti-roll bars were redesigned to match the new chassis layout and improve performance. The front bars’ center sections are narrower to match the one-piece chassis design. The anti-roll bars are used especially for high traction conditions and are included in Carpet edition.
The rear anti-roll bar features easy height adjustment from the top of the ball joint to balance left and right fitment and to ensure the wire will not contact the drive shaft.
Anti-roll bar wires of different thicknesses are available for fine-tuning with the wire thickness laser-engraved on each bar for easy identification.

Servo Mount.
To increase strength, rigidity and to provide more predictable, precise & more consistent steering, the servo mounts are now made from aluminum and feature a carbon connecting top plate that also serves as a transponder holder.

Electronics Plate.
Electronics plate is now included for convenient ESC and receiver installation. This makes for easy mounting as well as quick removal of the electronics during maintenance. The plate position can be shifted to the front or rear to move the electronics for a simple weight bias adjustment.
The XB2C includes the Stainless-Steel Plate that is ideal for higher traction conditions, where more front weight bias is needed to slow front to rear weight transfer upon acceleration.
The XB2D includes the Carbon Fiber Plate that is deal for lower traction dirt conditions. The carbon plate reduces weight over the front axles and shifts the weight bias more to the rear.

Motor Cooling.
Multiple cooling fan mounting locations allow fine tuning weight bias, adapting to electronics placement on the chassis, or installing multiple fans for additional cooling.
Optional cooling fans can be mounted using the composite holder in front of the motor or using the left side guard’s integrated mounting points.
The composite holder attaches to the chassis using one screw and one locating pin to minimize vibrations and increase fan lifespan.
